What is CBD and is it legal?

CBD, or cannabidoil, is a compound extracted from cannabis plans. Unlike THC within marijuana plants, CBD is not psychoactive as it does not directly activate CB1 receptors and does not change one's state of mind. The federal passage of the Farm Bill in 2018, the year we began growing, legalized CBD extracted from hemp that contains less than 0.3% THC. Note, our CBD product coa's show 0% THC!

What is the difference between hemp and marijuana?

Hemp and marijuana are effectively different species of Cannabis sativa. Both hemp and marijuana contain CBD, however, hemp has a much higher percentage. THC, while slightly present in hemp, is found at much higher percentages within marijuana species.

Do your products contain THC?

Certified by independent tests and analysis, all our products contain 0% THC levels.

How can you take CBD?

There are many ways to take CBD and experience its calming properties. We offer a wide variety of products, from oil tinctures, lotions and creams, hair sprays, and edibles. Cannabinoids are also safe for pets!

What is my recommended dose?

At Doylestown Hemp Company, we recommend 2.5 milligrams per kilogram of body weight (mg/kg) twice daily, making a total dosage of 5 mg/kg twice daily, totaling of 10 mg/kg per day.

What should I look for when purchasing CBD?

Any company that offers cannabinoid products should prioritize transparency, ensuring you know the levels line up with what is said, and avoid "in-house" testing. Companies should be able to back up their purity and authenticity claims with lab reports, which you can familiarize yourself with. We also suggest you look for knowledgeable staff as all products should meet your needs.
